The Beach

Our beach vacation was nooo vacation. I do believe that I was delusional to think that our vacation would be like it was the past few years. I mean I knew it would be different with a 5 month old but I didn't realize how different. After the first few days and a major attitude readjustment on my expectations of the vacation we had a great time but those first few days, oh my! I can't say I got much rest but we did make some great memories and learned many lessons. Next year we should be much better prepared, hopefully. :)

I think Addison had a great time beside the rash she had all over her - from what you ask, we have no idea. It started last Tuesday and is now finally starting to go away. It never seemed to bother her which was a huge blessing.
I haven't yet figured out how to make a slideshow so here are some pics.

Ready to go on vacation!!
Staring at all the other kids splashing about.

Sacked out!

Chillin' at the pool

You know she's really asleep when she lets that paci out of her mouth!

Fourth of July, just hanging out listening to the band.

Our first night back. I do believe she was ready to come home.

Hey Cobbs!
Ben and I were cracking up at your newest entry, because we learned the same lesson when Lydi was six months old. We went on "vacation" and much to my surprise it was no vacation for me! So, Kim I know exactly how you feel. You definitely have to adjust your expectations! They are such a joy, but they don't understand what it means when mommy needs some time off! Hope you guys are well, Addison is a cutie!

Kim, She is getting so big. I want to see her so badly. We will be in b-ham this Sunday evening and Monday day. Maybe we can see each other.

Hey Kim! She is beautiful. John David, Jeremiah and I are headed to the beach tonight. I think I have some of the same expectations of how it used to be as well. We will see how it goes. I'm glad you are doing great.
